Insight, innovation & vision inspired Grey Cottage owner, Cristin Wheat, to open her own pet spa to help service the needs of the pet world she has always loved. Owner presence and hands on experience are combined to give the pet spa the highest standards in pet care and customer service. After a long time career in Corporate Management, Cristin decided to make a career change that would encompasses her passion with animals. She is professionally trained in grooming cats and dogs of all breeds. She is the only Certified Feline Master Groomer in the state of NY and is a registered member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America, The National Cat Grooming Institute of America and The National Association of Professional Creative Groomers.
Cristin has a special connection with animals and is as warm and caring with the pets she grooms, as she is with her own 4 dogs (Winslow, Glory, Blue & Rembrandt) and cats (Norma, Kennedy & Maddie), too. Cristin has also been actively involved with dog rescue, obedience and agility for many years. She has volunteered with Rochester Animal Services, The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, and Glen Highland Farm, where she adopted her current Border Collie, Glory. Giving back to the community is very important to Cristin, and she feels that by giving to animal related causes, she is not only helping animals, but also the people that they bond so closely with, enriching their lives. She says, “Animals are an extremely important part of our society and our lives. They’re not only our pets, loved dearly by us owners, but they are more importantly, our companions, service providers, healers and an integral part of God’s creation. We owe it to them, and ourselves, to do all that we can to be worthy of what they do for us.”
